I already have the fig, so trust me when I say DINOBOT KICKS ASS! This is what he should have been from the start. I just wish they had done him in the right colors though, might still get the Henkei. But the mold ROCKS!

I may get Dinobot in Henkei, but i'm leaving that Bruticus alone. I've got Cybertron Scourge and his colors look way better. Plus, can someone tell me what R.I.D. Bruticus is actually supposed to be? I've looked at pictures and I can't make out heads or tails. Thanks in advance. :)

Nice job on the Bruticus gallery. I love that fig. Any chance we could get a pic with the legends versions, Scourge, Trypticon and Hun-Grr?

Perhaps when I do the Hun-Grrr gallery I'll keep this in mind. :)

he is suppose to be Cerberus the 3 headed dog that guards the underworld. each of his arms from robot mode become a seperate head with his robot head changing into the middle dog head, sadly he (in my mind) is a bit of a dissapointment.

If you end up with both the faction switch feature would allow you to display the Hasbro version as Dinobot in Predacon colours.

Thanks Prime. I kinda thought that's what it was supposed to be, but man were they waaay off on that mold.

Bruticus is also supposedly a left over toy from Beast Machines that wasn't released until Robots In Disguise, much like Megabolt Megatron and Supreme Optimus Primal.

I have to say that Dinobot really does kick ass. His alternate configurations for the robot hands and the Velociraptor arms from beast mode are pure win for me. My only real complaint is his limited leg poseability which hinders his ability to achieve some really cool poses. I had wanted him to be on one knee in a submissive pose to G1 Grimlock, but this was the best that I could do:

Doesn't anyone realize you can turn his fists around so you don't see the yellow fists on the chest in alt mode?

Yeah, but I didn't like how it looked with another set of full claws on his chest. I prefered the look of the yellow exposed fists.

Predacon Bruticus and Dinobot are up too. Scourge is a figure I missed out on during Cybertron, and I regret that. I think the original had the best colors, but this one looks good. Might pick it up.

Hope to see Dinobot around here soon, might get him too.

Very bizzare looking. I never understood why robots should have flesh. I failed to watch Beast Wars when it came out because it was during my teens when I was girl crazy. My question is: In the cartoon, did they bleed when injured ?

nope no blood in the cartoons(had to be kid friendly, they were trying to get a new generation hopelessly addicted like we are) the flesh, the beast mode rather was to shield their robot forms from mass amounts of unstable energon on earth in that timeline that caused them to go into stasis lock if left exposed for extended periods.

Dinobot is full of awesome and win. Even with the snubbed blunt saber.
Bruticus is a nice reuse of the mold, cute reference to a figure that wasn't in the show for RiD (They really are trying to include something from every generation). It's a good grab for someone that doesn't have one already, but if you've got the original or Cryo Scourge (Cryotech?) its not worth repeating the mold for.

No way would Dinobot kneel to anyone, especially that brainless lumox. :P

Actually, considering Dinobot's sense of honor, I have a feeling that this would have been something he would have done after serving as a Maximal if he had had the chance to meet Grimlock.

I got Bruticus a couple of days ago and i'm very dissapointed of the lack of poseability. The heads only move up and down. It looks great when he is standing. And that's all he can do. Sigh.

anyone knows if dinobot is out in retail yet? If so, which store would most likely have him?

He has started recently showing up during the past week or so at retail. You can check out his Sightings page to figure out what stores are carrying him.

You can also check out the topic for the State where you live in the sightings forum:

I have a question.

If I were to modify Dinobot's sword/missile so that it was 2 or 3 notches longer, would it still be able to fit inside his tail in beast mode?
