United Wave 3 Detailed Images

All the United versions make the Hasbro versions look like unfinished prototypes.

My mind has swung in the other direction. Perceptor's robot mode looks awesome (minus the chrome) and while the vehicle mode looks goofy with the different finishes I still find it preferable to Hasbro's. Re-preordered! *sigh*

I kind of want the United Tracks to keep him company, but that's another $33 for a bit deeper/shinier finish and a little faction symbol.

Well this makes Wreck-Gar look a little better, but it still needs to lose the metallic paint. Not a fan of the color scheme on the head either.

Paint, too shiny! And does anybody think that on Perceptor the shade of red paint actually clashes with the shade of red plastic?

Sometimes I think Takara is too worried about shiny metallic paint rather than paint detailing. The metallic paint on Kup does nothing for me but the detailing on Jazz/Tracks makes all the difference. I love the deep blue on Blurr but prefer the white on the robot mode of Hasbro's version.

I do agree. But, oh how i wish Hasbro would have used clear plastic for the windows and chest plate. The off color yellow/orange looks bad..

i still cant find these guys in the states. when are these guys suppose to come out in the states?!?!?!

To my knowledge the united line is for the UK? Not coming to the states.

I do want to say thanks for making now regret buying the us releases instead of the united line. I'm gonna go kick myself in the forhead Blurr looks so awesome!

Blurr is out in Generations, Perceptor and Wreck-Gar are out in Reveal the Shield but have yet to properly spread, and Kup is due out in Generations.

Kup is sensational with the metallic paint. United Wreck-gar and Perceptor are a big improvement in my opinion compared to Hasbro. I just wish they painted all of Wreck-gar's engine block and Perceptor's exterior one color.

I really like United Wreck Gar. I like the RTS one as well though, and they've very different from each other. Enough to be different characters. Hmmm...? Might I double-dip on this one?

Why all the UN Wreck Gar hate? Anyone who saw the 80's movie knows that shinyness definitely existed on the planet of junk. Ask Ultra Magnus how he looked when they bought him back to life (dont know why they couldn't have done the same for prime).

I think the WG figures are just diffrent enough to make them look like diffrent Junkions, especially if you mistransform one a little. That to me makes both worth earning.

UN Perceptor looks like butt though.

I agree I'm confused. The chest plate that flips open forward has chrome along the outer edge but the rotors (I'm sticking to that term) along the side his fists are not....WTF??

I like United more than Generations - the metallic paint has been used too much by Takara Tomy (Scourge, Wheeljack didn't need it). but really completes Kup perfectly. Hasbro's is good too and very G1 movie-esque but I prefer United's with the extra colour. Prefer United.

Blurr
Stupid head aside, United wins again the various blue's make the figure look really cool. Some people may say that Blurr's paint job isn't similar enough to G1 Blurr so Hasbro's is better but the fact that he has that reject of a head from IDW means that this isn't a G1 Blurr so we shouldn't be rating him as such and United's paint job looks much better. Prefer United.

Perceptor
I don't see why United's figure is getting so much flak I think it looks great. Hasbro's version is good in robot mode but in vehicle mode United's is superior. Prefer United.

Wreck-Gar
Both versions have good points and bad points. The United silver face isn't good but the paint job on his body is very good as with Hasbro's. Prefer United.

My box of United Kup, Blurr, Perceptor and Wreck-Gar is coming tomorrow from Amazon Japan. Woo hoo!!

I think United Blurr's alt mode looks fantastic, but I think I like Hasbro's bot mode better.

Guess I am very few of the people who don't like all these United figures. No offense here, but United Wreck-Gar looks like a zombie. Must be the face.

Wow, just checked around and it looks like United Wreck-gar is a hot one!! He is sold out at Robotkingdom (I think I snagged the last one cause it S/O after I bought it) and pre-orders over at BBTS are S/O as well. TFSource still has pre-orders up. But it makes me wonder if the news about United not continuing is having any effect on the market for these guys?

Wreck Gar is so shiny; I can see the anonymous dude's reflection on his chest.

My obsession with united is somewhat creepy. You have to see them in person to truly appreciate them.

Hasbro have definately won this round.

Painting the whole figure would be worst. I think the variations in sheens give them a very unique appearance which I can appreciate. However, in perceptor's case, it would have been nice to see hasbro's chrome and have some of the metallics a little more visible in bot mode.

True. United Perceptor in vehicle mode looks so messed up in these pictures with those different shades of red but once the actual thing is right in front of you, it doesn't look so bad. Same goes with United Wreck Gar's face. I guess it's like your girlfriend's zits & freckles: you only notice them in high definition pictures

Does anyone who has RTS Perceptor know if the rotors by his hands pop off or does it look that way at all?

United Kup is way better.

Perceptor and Wreck-Gar both Generations and United are really good IMO.

Blurr again much prefer United. I had my doubts with the pics on the net but in hand he is so much cooler than the generations one which I have now sold.
