Nope. Just some collector's cards and display packaging. If I could get both right now, I would.

Anyone know if it will be available in the UK?

You can get him off of eBay within the UK. No need to import him from the US. I got mine a couple of weeks ago. It cost me 70 quid but well worth it.

Cheers. Was hoping Argos or Asda would stock it.

No "mainline" UK release AFAIK, but try here, free postage too.
I've used them a few times and never had an issue.

cos i must admit he's one fugly mofer. i've always had probs with transformers that turn into creatures (dinobots were the best of the bunch but i'm sure it was a bitch for the writers to come up with something) - but this guy's colours are horrid too and the alt modes well...
i wish they'd rerelease the scramble city gestalts - i still need the combaticons as my originals look more like their original selfs before starscream had found them. I really want defensor

When the 2 new ones come in, I can assemble 3 Piranicons
I missed every combiner reissue so far, so I got 2 of these coming lol
Dieing for my Encore Bruticus to get here, my combiners need fresh crispy versions of themselves I guess...
I need the Stunticons..................... Them and the 2 Predacon sets I will pre order and I will have all the original years combiners

I got only one complaint about this Piranacon. The assembly job is far from the quality compared to the real G1 toy. Some screws needed tightening. The colors are a bit ligher and Snap Trap's head is now pink instead of the original black.
But part from that, it's a lovely hunk of plasic
My shelf is glorified by two Piranacons. Both from Robotkingdom.

As far as the assembly, I hope its nothing too serious.

Though I had half of the Seacon members back in the '80s, I never had the privilege of a complete gestalt as a kid.
I can checkmark one more item off of my bucket list.
Seeing Frank Sinatra perform in concert may be a bit more difficult to achieve....

Well, you might as well open him all the way up now and take him out yourself... There's so such thing as almost MISB

It's not that I want to keep it MISB. With all my Transformers I like to open them up and play with them. I think the fact that it is so shiny (especially compared to my vintage) prevents me from unbinding it from the twist-ties. I will probably completely remove it from the this evening.

Stickers applied poorly, joints super loose, pegs totally skinny in their holes. I'll most likely end up displaying all of them in weapon mode. They keep together in some configurations, but other ones it just flops apart.
For the price, it was really no question I had to buy it. But if it was the only copy of the mold I owned, I would be pretty annoyed. I suppose its fine for a shelf piece, but overall pretty MEH.

I wouldn't be too quick to judge every reissue harshly.
It's true that some of the QC is craptastic, such as pins missing.
On the other hand, the molds themselves have flaws that have been there from the beginning, all the way back in G1.
That's why some folks get great reissues, others end up getting gypped.
But it's not just the QC, it's definitely the molds.

If you shipped USPS Air Mail, in my experience it can take up to a month for BBTS shipments to reach Canada. So much for Air Mail, right? It's probably partially due to Canada Customs delays.
If you shipped UPS, you should track your package and find out what's going on.

You're welcome. Hopefully it shows up soon. If it reaches a month and there's still no sign of it, you might want to send them an email just to see what's up. Though I don't think they can track it with Air Mail. Maybe try checking your post office first, it's not entirely unheard of for them to forget to send a delivery notice.

I have to give credit to Hasbro they actually managed to deliver a nice collector friendly box for once.
The Chrome is fantastic. My only issue is the connections for gestalt mode, feel kind of loose. Specially the feet to head connections.
Never managed to have complete a G1 scramble city gestalt when I was a kid so this is aweosme for e. Heck I connected my Protectobot limbs to Snap Trap, since I don't have a Hot Spot for them, just to see how they look combined.
I also connected my lone Nautilator that I've had since I was a kid to it. It was nice finally using that square peg. For years I wondered what it was for.
All in all I'm very happy with the purchase.
For 60 bucks is a great collector's item.

I agree on the chrome part. It's excellent. One of the best examples I've ever seen. I will even give Hasbro credit for leaving the handle of the sword unchromed so it wouldn't wear down or chip. That was a very, very smart move.
And I have the same issue with things being too loose or too tight in spots. The legs are very wobbly and due to Nautilator's head being recessed and Tentakil's not, they're spaced a bit differently, and you have to shift everything to make Piranacon stand straight with no gaps and no off kilter look. I do worry that it's either stressing the port on his leg, or Nautilator's head. (The head would be worse, because if it snaps off, they're a pain in the ass to repair.)
I like the US G1 set up (same as how the reissue comes in box) but the legs being a bit off does worry me.
I see why they mixed and matched the limbs around, so it would break up the monotony of the color scheme, but I'm thinking that having them color coded (pink and pink as arms or legs, same with the gray and black) would make it more stable. I've tinkered with it countless times since opening it and I just haven't found a design to stick with, just yet.
I kinda like the God Neptune setup, but I don't care for Overbite as an arm. Way too skinny compared to the other limbs. I don't care for Nautilator as a weapon because he's too large with those beast legs and he doesn't work as an arm because of those legs.
The more I tinker with them, the more and more I see how non uniform they are and stuff like that bugs me. It doesn't ruin the set for me, but it does drive me nuts trying to find something that's stable and looks good at the same time.

Still I like the set a lot. I did come up with an uber-rifle mode for Nautilator, using one of the arms from the stands, and a bunch of the figures guns plugged in. Its quite heavy.

Overcracker wrote:Yeah, I'm still playing with it trying to find a stable combination. Nautilator proves to be difficult as an arm, and Overbite is just too thin.

Making the superweapon seems like a great idea, but I must warn you, it's weighing him down towards the front, and it'll wear out the connector sockets or snap off one of the limb heads.
I used both Tentakil and Nautilator as the weapon, and they both had so much weight that they literally made Piranacon lean forward. I was really uneasy about it. I quickly switched it back to the packaged set up.
Tinkering with it gave me a good amount of time to study each of the figures in detail, and I've noticed something.
It's not just a matter of color coding as to why Piranacon is formed with Nautilator and Tentakil as the legs. It's because they're both larger and taller than the rest of the Seacons. Every other Seacon from Overbite to Skalor is at least a head shorter than Nautilator and Tentakil.
Now that I know this, I'm going to stick with the US G1/reissue setup. When you use them as arms, they really weigh down the top half and make him look like he's gonna topple over.
Posted by Overcracker on September 17th, 2010 @ 5:25pm CDT
Making Seawing a leg, and moving Tentakill to be an arm.
