New images of Bumblebee and Barricade from the upcoming Transformers Movie have surfaced on Amazon Japan. Both bots are featured on the cover of childrens book called An I Can Read Book based on the upcoming Transformers Movie. Bumblebee is on the cover of the book Transformers: Sam's New Car which we reported would be released here. Barricade is on the cover of a book titled Autobot VS. Decepticon. eBay seller Kayotoys-cn has an auction up for the six inch RID Optimus Prime. This prototype is red, white and grey and comes with a nameless display stand.

G1 Keychains At Wal-Mart

As many people may remember awhile back we reported here that Hot Topic had released G1 Minibot Keychains at their stores. Now our own Real One has reported finding them in a Wal-Mart. Here is what Real One posted

"I just bought Cliffjumper and Bumblebee at Walmart. They also had Windcharger and Brawn all for $2.97. :D

Sorry! no pics..I cant find my camera :-x"

Right now this is just rumor, until it can be confirmed.

Update:

A few more people have reported finding the G1 Minibot Keychains in Wal-Marts. Therefore, this is no longer a rumor.

TV Tokyo Adds Beast Wars Section to Website

Last month we reported here that Beast Wars would be returning to Japanese television starting on January 7, 2007. Well now TV Tokyo has updated their website with a Beast Wars section. You can check it out here.

Transformers Cybertron to have New Time Slot On YTV in Canada

YTV in Canada will be changing their cartoon schedule. According to the new schedule Transformers Cybertron will only be air on Saturdays in a new time slot. The new time slot is 2:30p.m. starting on Saturday, January, 6, 2007.

Megatron Origin Series On the Way From IDW

Some people may remember back at Botcon 2006 IDW mentioned that they considered doing a on shot Megatron Origins story. We reported this here. Well it looks like there will be a Megatron origin comic on the way, and that is not all. It will be a four part mini series. Chris Ryall has confirmed this in IDW's forums. Here are some quotes from Ryall when asked about the series:

In 2005 we had 1 issue from IDW-verse: Infiltration #0

In 2006 we had 16 issues from IDW-verse:
Infilitration 1-6, Stormbringer 1-4, Spotlight 1-4, Escalation 1-2.

Escalation 3-6 (4 issues)
Spotlight 5-7 (3 issues: Ultra Magnus, Soundwave, Kup)
"Megatron's Origin" 1-4 (4 issues)

That's 11 issues + probably there will be more like Devastation & Spotlights

Will Devastation start in september after Megatron's Origin or maybe other date?? And if this other date, then when??

Will Devastation be 6-issues mini-series like Escalation??

What will be the name of "Megatron's Origin" Mini-series??

Do you plan something more for IDW-verse in 2007??
And I don't count Devastation, Spotlights, Escalation & megatrons' origin
Simple answer YES or NO? ;)

Ryall: Devastation's set to be 6 issues.

Megatron: Precursor is 4 issues.

IDW Publishing have announced their sollicitations for the month of April!

Comics Continuum has information and pictures of the various Transformers comics from IDW to released in April, here.

Also, a new comic was announced: Transformers Cybertron: Balancing Act. This is a comic in full color which features Vector Prime: In The Beginning, Balancing Act and Revelations. Before, these stories were only available for members of the Hasbro Transformers Collectors' Club. Comics Continuum also provided a cover done by Dan Khanna.
